6 Daily Practices to help Unearth Your Inner Light.
Often clients come to me with an end goal. They share with me what external results they wish to see. The number one question I get asked is ”how long will it take to get there?” When I explain that it can takes months, and is always a work in progress, I often see a look of defeat.
Rome wasn’t built in a day, it took many years of tireless work.
This thought can be very overwhelming for some. So I always try and break it down.
Focus on the present. What small steps can you take today to unearth your light? By making these small steps a daily practice, it sets you up for success. These daily practices soon become second nature that you do not have to give thought to. This then allows you to focus your energy on bigger things, like finding your purpose and living to your full potential.
Try some of my favorite daily practices below by following my WITHIN plan:
W: WORKOUT: Do some form of exercise every day, even if it is just taking a walk outside. It can help clear your head, change up the scenery and environment and pump some good endorphins through you.
I: INSPIRATION: Do something every day that inspires you. Maybe that is watching a ballet or an opera or reading the newspaper or a chapter of a book.
T: THANKFUL: Practice gratitude. Wake up every morning and say what you are grateful for. Your health, family, new job, roof over your head. Find at least three things that you are grateful for.
H: HONOR: Honor yourself. Practice some self-care. Have a long bath, treat yourself to a massage. Meditate for 20 minutes each day.
I: INTUITION: Always trust your intuition. Your gut will always know the right answer. Try making a decision based on feeling rather than what your head is telling you. Write down the results and how that made you feel.
N: NO NEGATIVE TALK: Take note of what you are saying to yourself. Our words are extremely powerful. Try starting your day with no negative thoughts. See how long you can last before one thought creeps in.
